Are we sacrificing children to abortion?

Posted

the 4th trimester

In an interview, Virginia Gov. Ralph Northam supported a bill to allow abortions through a full-term pregnancy.

“If a mother is in labor, I can tell you exactly what would happen, the infant would be delivered,” he said.

“The infant would be kept comfortable. The infant would be resuscitated if that’s what the mother and the family desired, and then a discussion would ensue between the physicians and the mother.”

Many of us could not believe our ears. Did we hear him say that after a child has been delivered, the mother and her doctor could decide not to let the child live?

It was even more shocking that the governor did not try to totally resend his words, but stood by his pro-abortion platform affirming the belief that a woman has sole rights over her body even when another human life that has been denied any rights.

Killing unwanted children has been around for thousands of years. “Child Sacrifice” is still practiced, most notably in India and Africa. It is believed that for needed rain, fertility, or better crops an innocent child’s death will benefit the community.

This is not always a superstitiously motivated practice. It is a way to “abort” unwanted children in a socially acceptable way that masquerades as a sacrifice to give up their child for others’ benefit.

How is it done? Horrifically. In the ancient Tunisian city of Carthage child sacrifice to the god Molech was common. Infants were burned alive in sacrifice for the benefit of those whose lives and welfare was deemed more valuable than theirs.

Are we really that different today? Child sacrifice is infanticide – abortion of a life. Modern abortionists try to appear clinical but it is horrific when vacuums or forceps rip a baby from its mother’s womb.

Why so many abortions? According to the Guttmacher Institute 3/4ths of aborting women can’t afford a child which would interfere with their life (work, school, etc.), and half because they don’t want to be a single parent. Killing of a child in the womb benefits those whose lives and welfare are deemed more valuable.

How does God feel? Leviticus 20:2–3: “Say to the people of Israel, anyone who gives any of his children to Molech shall surely be put to death.” Listed among the things that the Lord hates in Proverbs 6:16 are “hands that shed innocent blood.” How much longer will we set ourselves against God and think we can win?
