Batesburg-Leesville Elementary School 4th graders have won the elementary division of the Youth Art Month Art Show of South Carolina.
Congratulations to Brian Chen, Alyssa Guy, Anna Long and Matthew Storey who created a collaborative abstract portrait.
The students studied the work of artist Sandra Silberzweig. They planned and constructed their award-winning piece using cardboard, paint and oil pastels.
The students were honored at the Lexington 3 Board of Trustees meeting Apr. 9.
