Can Dreams End Your Pain?

LIVE THE LIFE YOU LOVE

Do your dreams puzzle you? Mine used to. Until I learned to use them as a form of healing.

For years I had the same dream. The sky was falling. I always woke scared. Over time my dream got worse! The walls began to close in. I was trapped in a dark lonely plane unable to breathe.

At that time I suffered from mild anxiety and depression. As the dreams continued I had great emotional pain.

That all changed when I wrote down and sketched out my dream and how I felt. Doing this gave me clues about what I needed to do to feel better

When I looked at my sketch I had a different perspective. I thought about what I could do to improve my situation. The answer came quickly. Get out of the box! Go and meet people. Join a club or support group.

Dreams can also end physical pain. I have pain from a car accident. Nightly dreaming and afternoon napping give me relief. What I do is this: before I close my eyes I ask that what I need to have pain relief be brought to me in my dreams.

Most times I dream of flying. I have wings or I hover over the floor. It’s magical. My pain goes away.

There’s one more kind of dream that can end pain. The dream you have for your life. Age doesn’t matter. We all need something to look forward to. The thing that gets us out of bed no matter what.

Dreams are imagery. Visions. This alone can bring pain relief. When the dream or vision you have for your life is in line with God’s plan, healing will happen. Pain goes away.

Dreams are powerful pain relievers for three reasons:

1. They give clues of what you need to do to feel better

2. They help you see things from a higher perspective

3 They give you imagery for self-healing. The next time you have a puzzling dream, try one of my ideas and let me know how you feel.
