The bats and balls are on the way to Belize in time for Christmas. My son Will Jarrells and his friend Donna Cook drove 12 boxes of children’s bats, balls, gloves and other baseball equipment from Lexington County to Harvest Aviation in Wauchula, FL last week. Harvest Aviation provides monthly flights for missionary support to Belize. The boxes will be delivered Dec. 18. Pastor Victor will open the boxes at church on Dec. 23. They include 48 gloves, 45 bats, a set of bases, a “t-ball” stand, 6 dozen baseballs and 10 batter’s helmets. It should be a merry Christmas for the kids. A friend who managed a special league baseball team is giving us 30 baseball jerseys to ship in January. If any Lexington County Chronicle and Lake Murray Fish Wrapper readers want to contribute any baseball equipment, please email ralphejarrells@yahoo.com .
