Gaston Police and 7-11 teamed up to have a Cops and Slurpees Day.
Between 3 and 5 pm on Aug. 12, police officers including Chief Stephen Watkins handed out Slurpees and pizza to the public.
Former Chronicle account executive Carol McCombs represented 7-11 and made sure all ran smoothly.
