Paul Davis Restorations has been serving Lexington and Richland counties for 20 years.
The Lexington Chamber of Commerce celebrated the business with a ribbon cutting Nov. 14.
Owners Lucia and Bill Ellison acquired the Paul Davis franchise in 1998. After much planning, and attending comprehensive ownership training school, they officially opened Paul Davis Restorations of Greater Columbia at 117 Vera Rd. in Lexington.
The business offers a host of services for residential and commercial customers including restorations after fire, flood water damage, mold and storm damage.
Bill Ellison had been in the mechanical engineering business prior to starting Paul Davis Restorations. Lucia was a full-time mom of 3 kids with years of experience in marketing.
Bill remembers the economic crash of 2008 and 2015’s historic 1,000-year flooding in the midlands were significant obstacles for the business. Yet the Elli-sons believed in the business and never gave up hope.
One obstacle they face today is a severe lack of skilled workers. Despite that, they have been able to keep a great team. Bill spoke highly of his workers and office manager Tina Ormenison.
She keeps everything running smoothly, Ellison said.
