Dist. 1 names Teacher of the Year
Lexington County School District 1 has named New Providence Elementary’s Jennie S. King its District Teacher of the Year.
The district announced the winner at its annual Teacher of the Year celebration honoring outstanding teachers Apr. 11.
An educator for 18 years, King now goes on to compete in the state-level Teacher of the Year program next year.
King earned a Bachelor of Arts in English from Birmingham-Southern College in Alabama, a Master of Arts in Early Childhood Education from the University of Alabama and a Master of Education in Educational Administration from USC.
