Doctor recognized for philanthropy

On Tuesday, October 8, Dr. Todd Crump was recognized as Outstanding Individual Volunteer Fundraiser during Falling for Philanthropy, a National Philanthropy Day event.

Each year, the Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP) Central Carolina Chapter joins with national and international colleagues to celebrate National Philanthropy Day, a celebration of exceptional individuals and organizations that have dedicated themselves to philanthropy.

As an emergency medicine physician with Lexington Medical Center, Dr. Crump is a staunch advocate for the Foundation, donating for nearly 20 years and always urging his peers to do the same.

After finishing his “day job,” Dr. Crump moves onto his second, serving as Medical Director of The Free Medical Clinic where he’s volunteered since 1997. His passion for helping those in need knows no bounds. He goes above and beyond for patients in dire circumstances, working to heal ailments but also ensuring the most vulnerable have an ear to listen to them and a shoulder to cry on.

As a fundraiser, advocate, and friend, Todd Crump has transformed patient care in the Midlands, and our community is stronger because of him.
