Driver dies in Gaston crash Saturday

A Columbia man was killed in a truck-SUV collision near Gaston Saturday morning.
Lexington County Coroner Margaret Fisher said Robert Adams Jr., 40, was killed.
According to troopers, the collision occurred around 3 a.m. on US 321 near Phaeton Drive.
Troopers say both vehicles were traveling south on US 321 when a tractor-trailer slowed to turn into a parking lot.
Adams was unable to stop his Lincoln SUV and ran into the back of the tractortrailer.
