Many wonderful things start happening.

The weather starts to cool, which is good for being outdoors more.

Then comes nest building with fresh ma terials to stay warm until next spring.

High schools and colleges have already kicked off their 2021 season and it seems to be going better than expected.

A few high school games were cancelled or postponed but most teams have played 2 or 3 games by now.

Several local festivals the Quail will attend with ace photographer, Ramie Kelly are the Irmo Okra Strut Sept. 23, Gaston Collard Festival Oct. 2, Midlands Plant & Flower festival Oct. 8, Hippie Fest Oct. 23 and Pelion Peanut Party Nov. 12-13.

Fall also brings Halloween Oct. 31, with local Haunted Houses. As these locations start announcing their dates, the Quai” will let y’all know.

Until next week, fly safely my friends.
