Firehouse Subs saves Halloween

Posted

Karen Wilson realized covid-19 had cancelled many Halloween activities. That meant a lot of disappointed boys and girls.

As manager of Firehouse Subs in West Columbia she has a long history of doing things for local kids like Special Olympics, back-to-school supplies, clothes and Christmas gifts for needy kids in the Red Bank area.

On Halloween night, Firehouse Subs on Dreher Road will host a trick-or-treat night for local families. The West Columbia Fire Department has donated a big box of fire hats, toys and books about fire safety. Volunteers will provide balloon animals, games, trick or treat bags and a story time.

The restaurant will offer 99¢ kid’s meals at 6 pm and a safe place to celebrate. For details call Ms. Wilson at 803-764-1940.
