The SC Department of Transportation (SCDOT) plans to put a traffic circle at the intersection of Fish Hatchery and Busbee Roads.
Effective Oct. 19, this intersection will be transitioned into an “All Way” stop configuration until the traffic circle is completed.
All construction is estimated to be completed by late summer of 2021. Additional notification will be provided prior to any further changes to traffic patterns.
This project in Lexington County is funded by the new state gas tax. The new gas tax supports SCDOT’s 10-Year Plan to improve the quality of South Carolina’s roads and bridges after 30 years of deferred maintenance due to lack of funding.
Motorists traveling through the work zone are asked to be aware of equipment and crews working adjacent to traffic at all times. “Let ‘em Work. Let ‘em Live.”
