The LMC Foundation Grants Committee approved 42 internal grant requests for FY 2020.

Newly-funded projects include:

• Kisses for HUGS – The Kisses system electronically links newborn babies and their mom immediately at the time of birth and emits a pleasant tone that will reassure the mother that she is receiving her own baby.

• CVICU Post-Surgical Bra – Female open-heart surgery patients will be provided with a specially designed bra following surgery that will aid in post-operative healing of the chest incision and provide comfort.

• Cardiac Care – $136,695

• Cancer Care – $103,950

• Mother/Baby – $103,893

• Patient Care – $197,197.50
