The annual Trunk or Treat will be held October 31, from 6 to 8 pm. This event is held along the walking trail at the playground. If you are interested in participating, please arrive early to set up.

Congratulations to Kara Holladay who was voted as the Support Staff member of the year at Forts Pond Elementary School. Congratulations also to the Teacher of the Year, Mr. Brandon Brantly, who is a third grade teacher at FPES. The FPES Cafeteria staff won a gold award from the US Department of Agriculture, the only gold award in the district!

Entertainment for the 37th annual S. C. Peanut Party will include the following: November 2 will be Michael Jacob’s, PHS Jazz Band, and Mattie Phifer Band. November 3 will include PHS Orchestra, James Tonight, Nancy’s Karaoke, Funky Mofo’s, and Steel Justice.

The Pelion Homecoming Court includes Freshman Princess Olivia Flossie and Freshman King Leo Flores; Junior Princess Whitney Craft and Junior Prince Ian Kell; Homecoming Queen Madison Nicholson; First Runner-up McKenna Smith, Co-Second Runner-up Catilyn Jeffcoat and Savannah McLeod; Sophomore Princess Reese Goodwin and Sophomore Prince Braxon Brazell.

Pelion Library will host Technology Training October 31 at 10:30 am. This event is for ages 18 and up and registration is required.

Preschool storytime is October 31 at 11 a.m. for ages 2-5 years. Yarn Art will be held October 27 at 11 a.m. for ages 13 and up.

Beginner and advanced crafters are invited to share ideas and learn new skills. North of 50 meets October 30 at 11:15 a.m. for ages 60 and up.

Pelion varsity football plays Gilbert at 7:30 p.m. October 26. This game is also senior night. Cross Country Lower State begins at 9 a.m. on October 27 at Darlington.

Pelion Senior Center’s will celebrate Halloween October 31.
