Gilbert High School’s Main Street Players will perform “Puffs, or Seven Increasingly Eventful Years at a Certain School of Magic and Magic” on Friday, Dec. 3, at 7 p.m. and Saturday, Dec. 4, at 2 and 7 p.m. Written by New York playwright Matt Cox, Puffs is a comedic retelling of the Harry Potter book series from the perspective of the “Puffs,” or the members of Hufflepuff House. The play premiered in December of 2015. General admission tickets for the Gilbert production are $5 at the door.

Gilbert High Future Farmers of America students are taking orders for Poinsettias. The Poinsettias are available through Dec. 10 in white or Beauty Princess colors. Each wrapped Poinsettia is $11, and pick-ups are by appointment. Contact Derrick Cooper at 803-821-1871 to order.

Donna Neel, director of the Gilbert-Summit Senior Center, said members are looking forward to their December activities. JR Fennell, Lexington County Museum Director, will share Christmas traditions at the museum. Director Neel said each week of December members will learn how to make a Christmas craft and play Christmas games. Hot chocolate, eggnog, Christ mas cookies and holiday trivia will add to the holiday activities to enjoy. Neel said Meals on Wheels delivery volunteers are always needed. For information, call 803-892-5745.
