They’re coming back in 3 days.
NASCAR racing will return Sunday, May 17, at Darlington Raceway.
The race will be without fans attending to ensure the health and safety of competitors and surrounding communities.
It will be the 1st of 7 races over 11 days that will include events at Charlotte Motor Speedway.
NASCAR fans were delighted to hear that other races have been reassigned to Darlington and Charlotte later this month.
The realignment shifts events away from Chicagoland Speedway, Richmond Raceway and Sonoma Raceway on the 2020 calendar.
Future adjustments to this season’s schedule will be released in the near future.
Darlington and Charlotte were chosen for NASCAR’s return in part due to their proximity to the industry’s Charlotte-area hub.
Officials are trying to minimize travel demands and limit the amount of at-track personnel with 1-day events.
