South Lexington Baptist Church hosts a gospel singing June 30 at 6:30 pm.featuring the group Eternal Vision. The Tennessee-based trio is celebrating 30 years of ministry in 2019 and is known for such songs as “Behold the Lamb” and “Jesus and John Wayne,” along with an energetic, electric live show. There is no admission charge for this event but a love offering will be collected. South Lexington Baptist is on Brevard Parkway in Red Bank, across from Fern Hall Apartments.

Lexington Church of God will hold a “Family and Friends” day July 30 following the morning service to put a wrap on the previous week’s Vacation Bible School experience. They’ll have water inflatables, corn-hole games, horseshoes, and more family fun. A meal will be provided for all. For information call the church at 957-6675.

Students entering 7th through 12th grades at White Knoll High, White Knoll Middle, or Carolina Springs Middle schools next year who are interested in running Cross-Country for the Timberwolves are are in the middle of summer conditioning right now with June’s session wrapping up today. New businesses continue to invest in Red Bank; at the corner of Platt Springs and Brevard Parkway there is a SAFE credit union branch under construction, and in the Publix shopping center a new Super Cuts hair salon has opened. The Longs Pond Road Dollar General underwent an extensive remodeling and has now reopened.
