The new year finds 6 Lexington County teams appearing in the most recent S.C. Basketball Coaches Association Top 10 rankings.
Both Gray Collegiate and Lexington high schools have boys and girls’ teams positioned in the respective ranking released Dec. 19. The defending Class 2A champion War Eagles remain in the top spot, while the Lady War Eagles fell from 1st to 5th.
Riding the best program start in 13 years, the Lexington boys crack the Top 5 of the Class 5A rankings, with archrival River Bluff a spot behind at 6th. The Lady Wildcats moved up to 7th following wins over ranked teams Dorman and Dreher.
In Class 3A, Pelion remained at 10th. The
