Halloween & other events

Halloween events are planned here this weekend.

• Lexington Church of God is doing a surprise light show called “The Gospel In Lights”, a drive-up event. Think the Saluda Shoals Christmas lights on the grounds of Lexington Church of God, 1331 Nazareth Road each evening Thursday through Sunday.

• Village Kids Academy at 1131 South Lake Drive plans a drive-through Trunk or Treat Friday, 7 - 8:30 p.m.

• South Lexington Baptist Church on Brevard Parkway plans a Fall Festival with a Trunk or Treat 6 - 8 pm Saturday.

• White Knoll’s varsity football team will host its final home game Friday at 7:30 pm when it plays crosstown rival Lexington. It’s homecoming for White Knoll, another reason to support the team and the school.

CONDOLENCES to the family and friends of friends who passed away this week. Lorrie Liljegren passed after a long illness and Galen Manapat was the victim of a Platt Springs Road accident, passing at the scene of the collision between his motorcycle and a vehicle.
