Harvest Hope closed its 12th Street location near Cayce City Hall last week.

A spokesperson said the location cost more than they could sustain.

Harvest Hope has a partnership with Mission Lexington and 20 other pantries in Lexington County to continue to service their clients.

For many years, Mission Lexington has helped families in the Lexington area with its food bank, clothing, counseling, and other available services.

Many county communities are covered by emergency feeding help.

Mission Lexington’s mobile food pantry goes into communities that need help.

The Chapin area has a We Care food pantry offering services on Chapin Road heading north toward New-berry just outside the town.

In Pelion, PACES at the Nazarene Church has a food pantry and clothing store.

The GPS pantry is near Fish Hatchery and Meadow-field Roads between Gaston and Swansea.

In South Congaree, Ebenezer PH Church on Colonial Avenue plans to open an expanded food pantry as the needs of that community have grown.

The South Lexington Emergency Food Pantry is behind Life Springs Church on Platt Springs Road acrpss from White Knoll High School.

Lexington County Sheriff Jay Koon’s Community Action Team connects people in need with agencies or services that help. Team leader Mark Jones has relationships with community groups that give assistance.

If you are in need, check with the church you attend or one close to your home.

If they can’t help, they can send you to one that can.
