Heartfelt gift to help homeless

Thompson Funeral Home presented a check for $5,000 to Homeless No More President and CEO, Lila Anna Sauls to support the programs of St. Lawrence Place.

The organization helps families in the Midlands who are impacted by homelessness. St. Lawrence Place is operated by Homeless No More.

“We believe the loss of a loved one and the loss of a home are among the most devastating events in life.” Thompson Funeral Home Director, Rob Akers said.

“We hope through fund-raisers like this, we can help raise awareness about the homeless epidemic throughout Midlands, ”

Homeless No More is a private nonprofit which seeks to eradicate family homelessness. Through programs like Family Shelter, St. Lawrence Place and Live
