House of Raeford helps Cayce students

House of Raeford’s nonprofit FLOCK donated 900 pairs of headphone to Cayce Elementary students Tuesday.

School Vice Principal Allyson Long had asked House of Raeford for help providing headphones.

“Cayce Elementary is so lucky to have business partners such as the House of Raeford,” she said.

The school is using a new software Edmentum to allow individual lessons for each student’s strengths and weaknesses.

“Our students needed headphones to be able to hear the individualized instruction,” said Long.

“We are excited to help. Tomorrow, learning will be easier because these students have the right tools,” said Chuck Underhill of House of Raeford.

Cayce Elementary is a Title 1 school in Lexington District 2. The school opened in August of 2017 when Davis Elementary and Taylor Elementary schools were combined.

“We strive to partner with exceptional groups in our community,” said Jim Mabe, complex manager for House of Raeford Columbia Division.

House of Raeford has partnered with schools in Lexington District 2 including Davis Elementary, Saluda River Elementary, and BC Grammar No. 1, Fulmer Middle, Northside Middle, Airport High and Brookland Cayce High.

FLOCK stands for Faithful Love Offering for Christ’s Kingdom. As a nonprofit, FLOCK partners with charitable organizations to help meet needs in communities where House of Raeford Farms operates.
