HOW ARE YOU coping with this corona virus and our “new normal” way of life?

HAMP CAUGHMAN JR. tells us he and his wife are taking extra precautions, such as washing hands more frequently, using hand sanitizer and disinfectant wipes. They are avoiding crowds and staying home as much as possible.

The Caughman’s are also wondering about their daughter’s wedding, which was to take place next month. With recommendations and mandates changing so often, it has been difficult to decide on when to reschedule. But they are praying for all who have been affected, especially the sick.

LOU KENNEDY REPORTS that Nephron Pharmaceuticals has donated fifty liters of hand sanitizer manufactured by the company to the William Jennings Bryan Dorn VA Medical Center. She says the FDA has approved Nephron to make the sanitizer.

Nephron develops and produces generic inhalation solutions and suspension products that can be used to treat symptoms of corona virus. It also produced sterile syringes and IV bags for hospitals across the US.

TODD CAUGHMAN SAYS he is taking precautions, but thinks we will just have to deal with the virus until we can find a cure. He says he lives in the country, so he is isolated and doesn’t have many visitors.

SHERI KIMBALL SAYS she starts each day with washing hands and sanitizing her kitchen while sipping coffee and praying for God’s strength through this crisis. She prays for love ones suffering from the covid-19 virus and other illnesses. She does enjoy recipes in the Chronicle, and since staying at home, she enjoys trying them out!

MARY ALICE BECHTLER says she is taking all precautions within her control and is trying not to worry about things beyond her control. She is enjoying the spring weather and visiting with her across-the-street-neighbors from across the street.

ANNE BULL REPORTS her neighborhood has a Facebook page on which she can keep up with her neighbors. She says she’s seen more people out walking as the weather warms up. She sends the following about people she knows:

DEB PETTY IS texting her grown children a lot. Her son and daughter-in-law live in Tokyo and her daughter lives alone, so staying in contact has been important.

BJ STEPHENS AND her huband are reading, walking and napping more and taking occasional drives.

LINDA AND ROGER Herring are working in the yard, decluttering closets and checking on their neighbors.

TERRY CHEATHAM IS bird watching from her back porch.

CAROL FARR HAS been watching Kenny Rogers videos on YouTube since hearing news of his death.

DALE AND LARRY Timber are cleaning closets and old files and washing down everything. They’ve had some fun going through old pictures and reliving events in their lives.

Remember to check on your neighbors. A phone call means a lot at this time.

MONIQUE JACOBS, RIVERBANKS Society director, says the zoo is coming to your home. Visit the Riverbanks Facebook page while your are isolated at home.
