April 23 was “Lost Dog Awareness Day”. Our Gilbert-Summit Branch Library has a video by Miss Amanda to show what to do to make your pet safe. She recommends books on puppy training on the library Facebook page.

GILBERT HIGH honored employees on National Administrative Day last week: Tracy Pound, Donna Watson, Janai Pinckney, Lori Amick, Karen Benton, Sharon Long, Keely Livingston, Tiffany Vining, Antonia DiCrocco, Alysan Berry, Jana Gunter, Mitzi Oswald, Wendy Griffin, Ann Price, Jeannie Albus, and Deana Keisler.

SHILOH UNITED Methodist Church’s fundraiser will be Saturday, May 8. Smoked Boston Butts prepared by Shealy’s BBQ can be picked up for $30 each. Orders will be taken until May 1. Call 803-238-4307, 803- 206-6168, or Pastor Angie 803-270-5134.

Proceeds help the church building fund.

SUMC invites you to their May Summer Reading Book Club and read “The Tattooist of Auschwitz” by Heather Morris. Book Club members will meet May 22 at 8:30 am at Second Wave Coffee in Lexington at 529 S. Lake Drive.
