Hunters for the Hungry is growing

Refrigerated truck to serve Lexington County and the Midlands

Posted

South Carolina Hunters for the Hungry is expanding into Lexington County and the Midlands.

The group donates meat to feed hungry people.

With the help of Clemson football coach Dabo Swinney’s foundation, they have acquired a refrigerated truck.

Their mission is to:

• Acquire venison from sportsmen and processors throughout the state.

• Donate it to agencies doing the difficult work of food distribution in local communities.

The truck’s graphics credit is owed to:

• Dabo Swinney’s All In Team Foundation for the donation that allowed them to acquire the truck.

• Their partnership with the SC Department of Natural Resources.

Hunters for the Hungry is a 100% volunteer organization.

As covid-19 increased demand on partnering agencies to help feed the hungry, their need for donations and volunteers greatly increased.
