Irmo women’s fellowship hosts luncheon

Posted

The Salvation Army Church of Irmo recently hosted their 2019 Annual Luncheon for the church’s women’s fellowship club.

They are known in 130 countries as The Home League.

The guest speaker was retired Salvation Army officer Major Betty Carver.

She made a presentation called “HATS!”

The decor supported that theme, with most of those in attendance also arriving with festive finery.

Irmo’s Home League Secretary Lois Rawls welcomed the ladies and was later honored for her faithful service to the group.

The church’s pastor Captain Amy Rockwell then lit a white candle to represent the light of Jesus Christ, reminding the group that everything done in The Home League should be done in His name, without discrimination.
