School is coming soon, even if we may not be sure of what form it will take for our students this year.

Red Bank Baptist is stepping up to safely meet community needs with a Back To School Bash Drive Thru Sunday evening, Aug. 23. If you want to donate to the drive, the deadline is Aug. 16. Donations can be ordered online via an Amazon wish list and delivered to the church if you don’t wish to drop them off yourself.

If your student needs school supplies, please preregister to make the pickup process quick and efficient. For both donations and registration, visit the church website for links to each at www.redbankchurch.org .

Remember, this is Tax-Free Weekend. Those school supplies will cost you a bit less for the next couple of days, at least.

CAN YOU smell the coffee brewing yet? Not quite but the new Starbucks in Red Bank is just about ready to open just in time for school to start and lines of teens and moms to wrap around the building before and after classes. I’m looking forward to another option for a warm brew in the neighborhood this winter, at least.
