It’s time for us to think of others

Posted

What is going on this week? I think that some people are working from home. Students are doing school work in the comfort of home on couches after sleeping late. The days are warm and filled with more free time, beauty from flowers blooming, and lots of pollen.

I encourage you to take this time and do some deep pondering and thinking about life, priorities, and how to help others in need.

MAKE SURE THE elderly have the food they need by calling them and seeing if they need anything. I welcomed new neighbors by giving them a roll of paper towels.

When you go to the grocery store, smile, and be an encouragement to those who look stressed and fearful. We will all get through this together.

PARENTS, SPEND GOOD quality time with your kids, let them have a good memory from this time period, not one of panic and fear. How we, as adults, handle this is teaching our children how to handle a future crisis. Do we want them to be calm and reasonable or be full of fear and panic?

TAKE THIS TIME to read, relax, clean the house, and enjoy not having to drive anywhere. Turn off the TV, call family and friends, listen to music, and restart a hobby.

That is my prescription for all of us this week!

BLESSINGS AND PEACE to each of you, and when life gets back to normal, this will all be a memory, and life will go on!
