Full Moons can have lots of nicknames often with what farmers call it at a particular time of year.
Supermoons look so big because they’re actually closer to Earth than normal.
Full Moons occur when the Moon is on the opposite side of Earth to the Sun and the lunar surface is fully illuminated
A Supermoon happens when a full Moon reaches the perigee or point in its or bit closest to the Earth.
The opposite of this is the apogee when the Moon is farther away and looks much smaller.
Supermoons are said to appear 14% bigger and 30% brighter than usual.
A Supermoon has to be about 226,000 miles from the Earth to be considered “super.”
