Don’t look now, but I think the summer’s almost gone. The last before-school registration day at White Knoll High School is August 6, 8 am-1 pm and 3-6 pm. This is not only the time to pick up your schedule and pay any outstanding fees for school or individual classes, you’ll have a chance to check out WKHS clubs, order yearbooks, school T-shirts, reapply for Free and Reduced Lunch, complete Parking Pass applications, and more. Registering with Online Registration in advance is recommended. For more information or questions, contact the school at 821-5200.

This weekend is Tax-Free Weekend, so it’s a good time to make those big purchases for school. Many area stores offer deep discounts for teachers during the back to school promotions, so if you’re a teacher remember to flash that ID badge. Good luck in advance to all our teachers and students.

South Lake Baptist

Church’s summer kids program, “E.P.I.C.” was a great success, according to all those involved. The church will celebrate the conclusion of the program Sunday evening with a showcase performance by the kids. The showcase begins at 6:30 pm and is open to the community to see what they have accomplished in a short time.
