Take a ride in and around the rural roads of Lexington County and notice all the litter along the roads. I live off Platt Springs Road and it is horrible. I pick up trash at least once a month and the first mile when you turn onto Mc-Cartha Road is just a shame. After a day of picking up trash it looks good for about 3 hours. Palmetto Pride is a joke. It is sad when I have people from other states say they know when they enter SC. Just look at the trash along the roads. I know we have many problems but we should start somewhere. If we can help at the grass roots level, maybe we will instill some pride and integrity in all who now disrespect our state and community. I travel around our state on many roads and most look this way. Please help us come up with a way to improve our public image.
