Sen. Lindsey Graham and Congressman Joe Wilson are among vocal opponents of impeaching the President.

Both are SC Republicans. Wilson lives in Springdale.

“I am afraid the Democrats have lost their minds when it comes to President Trump,” Graham said.

“The transcript of a phone call between President Trump and President Zelensky of Ukraine was a nothing burger,” Graham said.

Democrats in Congress claim the President threatened to withhold financial aid from Ukraine if it did not investigate a multi-million deal for former Vice President Joe Biden’s son.

“Contrary to what the Democrats had claimed, there is not one scintilla of evidence that President Trump threatened to withhold money from Ukraine because he wanted President Zelensky to do his political bidding.

“I say to my friends on the other side of the aisle: if you believe the telephone transcript is a smoking gun for impeachment, then the House of Representatives should take a formal vote to open an impeachment inquiry. Instead of making them guess, the American people should be able to see exactly where their member of Congress stands on this.”

Wilson said, “Democrats have obsessively scraped for any sign of alleged wrongdoing by the administration and are citing impeachment.

“Every time a new accusation comes to light, it is backed by unsubstantiated evidence and disproved.

“It is disappointing that instead of addressing issues affecting Americans, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi continues this divisive, baseless attack on President Trump.”
