AROUND BATESBURGLEESVILLE

We’d like to congratulate several citizens for their success at the Junior Beef Round-up. Ellie Harman won the Sales Talk competition in the junior division, Allison Harman won the Cattleman’s Education contest in the senior division and won a cash prize from AgSouth Farm Credit. Congratulations to you both!

We hope you all survived the wrath of Hurricane Florence. Lexington School District 3 is back to a normal schedule, but make sure to keep up with the district website in order to stay up to date.

The Town of Batesburg-Leesville invites you to a public meeting Sept. 19 to discuss improving the Town’s walking and biking opportunities. Come by Town Hall to voice your opinion. Check out the Town’s Facebook page to learn more.

The Panthers are taking a bye week, but the boys will back on the field September 28 as the team takes on Abbeville in a road game. If you can, make the trip and support our boys!
