Luce Italian restaurant in Lexington is turning 11.
The Lexington Chamber of Commerce and Visitors Center and Luce Italian Restaurant held a ribbon cutting on June 11 to celebrate 11 years in business.
Luce is located at 1812 Augusta Hwy., in Lexington in the former Hutto’s Restaurant building.
Mido Said took over the restaurant when the previous owner went out of business. It was a natural fit because his grandfather had an Italian restaurant in New York, and he taught Mido how to cook.
Both he and his grandfather take great pride in delivering the highest quality food to their diners. All meals are prepared when they are ordered using only fresh ingredients. Their motto is “cook like you are cooking for your family.”
