It’s the week to celebrate Ireland and the life of St. Patrick. In having my DNA tested, I found that I have 6% Irish DNA, and also Western Europe, Russian, Iberian Coast, Spanish, English and 17% from Italy and Greece. These are interesting results from those “pure German stock” ancestors of mine who immigrated from Baden-Baden, Germany, in 1752.

I encourage you to get your DNA done to see where your ancestors really came from.

Host families provide a bed, meals and share daily lives. The AFS organization provides support for students and host families. For information on hosting an exchange student, visit www.afs.org .
