Bad weather didn’t stop Foot Solutions of Columbia from celebrating their grand reopening and ribbon cutting Tuesday.

Despite the misty rain and fog, Irmo Mayor Hardy King cut the red ribbon, officially re-opening Foot Solutions of Columbia.

Owner Sion Owen and the mayor shared words of encouragement with those who had gathered for the event.

Foot Solutions has been serving the area for 18 years.

Owen remodeled the store and switched to a medical boutique model to better serve existing and future customers.

They are an American Society for Clinical Pathology certified medical facility and offer clinical services for diabetic shoes, custom orthotics bracing and medical equipment.
