Lexington Medical Center Foundation ha received a grant from the Duke Endowmen to increase access to mental health care.

The grant will establish a comprehensive and coordinated system of care delivery, said Jennifer Wilson of the hospital.

Amy Lanier, executive director of the Lexington Medical Center Foundation said. “This will allow us to help meet behavioral health needs through collaboration with partners throughout Lexington County.”

A recent health needs assessment identified mental health care as one of the top health needs in the Midlands.

The grant totals nearly $1 million over 3 years to deliver mental health care support and training for first responders.
