Cotton Branch Farm Sanctuary needs mountain movers. Due to the pandemic and economic recession, the farm needs supporters to help them operate. The 5 levels of mountain movers needed are Ground Breakers, Earth Shakers, Mountain Warriors, Mountain Commanders, and Sanctuary Mountain Movers. Each level is a different donation that goes to the farm.
Rachel Roszkowski has helped raise funds, transported pigs and helped with caretaking of their rescued pot belly pigs.
BI-LO grocery in Batesburg is donating a dollar for each reusable bag sold.
The non-profit farm relies on donations to rescue abused and neglected farm animals. For information call 803-381-0051.
SUMMER CAMP for Gilbert Pack 60 Cub Scouts was cancelled this year. However, their Indian Waters Council put together a “Camp in a Box.” Their theme this year is “Down on the Farm.” Pack 60 Scouts received craft activities, games, Scout Skills and STEM activities for each day their camp would have been held. With daily meetings on Zoom the Scouts showed their crafts to friends. Their last day of camp was a virtual campfire.
