L ast week fire destroyed Tee Derrick’s service station in Gilbert. The Gilbert community has helped Tee and his family.

He said everything he had worked for including 2 antique cars was gone.

Neighbors help Tee Derrick

Last week fire destroyed Tee Derrick’s service station in Gilbert. The Gilbert community has helped Tee and his family.

He said everything he had worked for including 2 antique cars was gone.

He was thankful he was alive and hoped to rebuild and reopen. The fire started when a spark ignited gas fumes from a tanker and the fire quickly spread.

GOOD NEWS! The Strawberry Patch has reopened at 3967 Augusta Hwy in Gilbert.

In 2020 the pandemic forced James Sease Farms to close their U-pick section. Owners Mike and Deek Keisler said they will follow safety guidelines.

The Patch wll be open through the season. Hours are 9 am - 6 pm Monday to Friday.

CONGRATULATIONS to Dylan and E’milee Jones on the birth of their daughter Hazel Jane Jones.

MARY B. LEWIS is celebrating her birthday. She was born April 16, 1928 and taught school in Gilbert 33 years. We wish you a happy birthday this week Miss Mary.
