Financial tech company SmartAsset ranked the country’s healthiest housing markets in a recent study.
Oak Grove and Cayce were 2 of the best in SC.
According to the study, a healthy housing market is both stable and affordable. Homeowners in a healthy market should be able to easily sell their homes without losing money.
The study looked at market stability, affordability, fluidity and risk of loss.
Oak Grove homes spent an average of 53 days on the market with only 8% having negative equity.
Cayce homes averaged only 57 days on market and 10% with negative equity.
Homeowners in these 2 areas typically lived in their homes between 14-15 years.
