Our Thanksgiving blessings

January began with most of us believing it would be a great year. Little did we know by February we would be in the middle of a pandemic.

“What are you thankful for” may seem a strange question to ask in the middle of a pandemic but we asked several folks.

• Phyllis Riffey said she is a thankful wife, mom and grandmother. She is thankful she can visit her son Brian Riffey and his wife Leslie. She is thankful for her granddaughter Renee and great granddaughter Anyiaa. She and her husband Allen are blessed not to have the corona virus.

• Price’s Country Store owners Phil and Frances Price said they are thankful for their customers. We have God’s blessings and thankful for our family and country.

• Jake Price says he is thankful he doesn’t have the virus. He said he enjoys the outdoors and loves to fish and hunt.

• Billy Jumper said he is thankful for his health and able to work. He said he plans to be with his family and friends on Thanksgiving Day.

• Henry and Norma Davis want to wish everyone a blessed Thanksgiving. Henry says he loves his job and is thankful for being able to work and have good health.

• Lois Dunbar wakes up each morning thankful for God’s blessings, thankful for her church and Christian children who have helped so much. She plans to have Thanksgiving dinner with her son Keith Dunbar and his wife Heather and her granddaughter Katie.

• Lisa Azar says she is so thankful no one in her family has had the virus. She plans to be with her father Pete Watkins and daughters Cipi Azar, Franni Azar and Gabbi and David Jordan.

• Maxine Caughman says she is thankful to wake up each morning and to thank you to God for everything.

Wayne and I want to wish everyone a blessed Thanksgiving.
