Panthers, Tigers and War Eagles

Posted

This week the Quail covered local elections, waiting in line for the 1st in a long time to vote. Enthusiasm was all over as the number of voters far outnumbered those in past elections.

The Quail was also sad to hear that his friend, District 4 school board Chairman Quincy Sutton, lost his re-election bid. We wish him the best for the future and hope he runs again in 2 years.

The next stop was Friday Night Lights. The Quail sent trusted photographer Lynn Hamilton to cover the Pelion Panthers vs. Wade Hampton game Thursday night. The Panthers won and will start their playoff run this weekend against Phillips Simmons.

Friday night the Quail was in Wagener for the War Eagles game vs. Cal houn County. What a game the War Eagles put on. Read the story in the Fish Wrapper.

The Quail and student photographer Ramie Kelly headed to the Swansea game. The score was tied in the 3rd quarter but in the end the Tigers dropped a heartbreaker.

Fly safely, my friends.
