The South Carolina Peanut Queen Pageant will be held October 13 at Pelion High School. Division I is at 10 a.m. and includes birth to 12 months; 13-23 months; 2 years; and 3-4 years. Division II will be at 5 p.m. and includes 5-6 years; 7-9 years; 10-12 years; 13-14 years; 15-16 years; 17-19 years and 20 and up. Deadline for entering is October 6, 2018. Pelion Library will host technology training September 26 at 10:30 a.m. Registration is required. Preschool storytime will be September 26 at 11 a.m. for ages 2-5 years. Yarn Art is September 22 at 10 a.m. for ages 13 and up. Beginner and advanced crafters are invited to share ideas and learn new skills. North of 50 meets September 25 at 11:15 a.m. for ages 60 and up. Get connected with engaging programs designed specifically for senior citizens, including workshops, crafts, and games. Tween Extreme meets September 27 at 6 p.m. with a Color Me Happy theme. This event is for grades 4-7.

Pelion Varsity football plays at Columbia September 21 at 7:30 p.m. Girls Tennis is at Barnwell September 25 at 5 p.m. and JV/V volleyball at Edisto September 25 at 5 p.m. Cross Country Pelion High Invitational meets September 26 at 5 p.m. JV/V volleyball plays at Swansea September 27 at 5 p.m. There will be a Sadie Hawkins dance September 28 at 5 p.m.

Pelion Senior Center will hold a senior expo and health fair September 24. Bingo is September 25 and coffee and chatting on September 27. Come out and join the senior center for fun and activities.
