Gov. Henry McMaster signed the covid-19 business liability act last week on the patio of West Columbia’s Café Strudel.

The pro-business bill gives legal immunity to businesses that followed public health guidelines against covid-related claims.

Café Strudel co-owner Trip Turbyfill said he and his wife Marila like other business owners were challenged by the pandemic.
