The YMCA’s annual Pumpkin Run 5K and Kids Run will be Saturday, Oct. 16 at the Northwest Family YMCA in Irmo.

This year’s event will include a costume contest with prizes and a fall festival at 10 am with games, crafts, music, local food trucks and family-friendly activities.

“The annual Pumpkin Run is fun for the whole family,” YMCA VP Cathy Muffler said. “Put on your favorite Halloween costume and join us to run or walk for a great cause.”

Proceeds benefit the YMCA’s programs to assist local youth with school readiness, chronic diseases and food.

The Kids’ Fun Run will begin at 8 am and 5K race at 8:30 am.

Fun Run Registration: $10 run or $15 for run and t-shirt.

5K Registration through Oct. 15: $30, t-shirt based on availability.

Race Day 5K Registration: $35, t-shirt based on availability.
