Red Bank UMC pastor to retire

Posted

Good luck and good wishes go out to Rev. Bob Dunn of Red Bank United Methodist Church as he preaches there this Sunday for the last time. In the United Methodist church, pastors are moved from church to church. Red Bank UMC has had several come and go.

Rev. Dunn’s departure is a little different, as he is going not to another church but ,to retirement. This will be his 2nd retirement as he is retired from the US Air Force.

He and his wife, fellow pastor Linda Dunn, are moving to the Myrtle Beach area to enjoy retirement. Rev. Dunn was involved in removing Red Bank UMC’s “old sanctuary” building and the conversion of its footprint to a new playground space for the church pre-school. Coming in to fulfill the pastoral role at Red Bank UMC next week will be Rev. Clay Faulk, who moves from the upstate with his wife Beth.

Red Bank Elementary is the local partner for the upcoming online STEM camp, Camp Invention Connect, from June 22-26. Register at invent.org/connect or call 800-968-4332.

Discounts are available on the $175 fee. This camp for students entering grades K-6. is a hybrid of online and offline activites, with activity kits sent to you and coaching and collaborating with certified educators.
