Pelion Ruritans welcome 3 new members, David and Sarah Mills and Lori Griffith. Our club continues to grow and if you’re interested, we meet 4th Thursdays at 7 pm. The Boston butt sale was a great success. An April 10 work day will clean up the walking trail. Meet at the playground at 8 am.
The Ruritans and American Legion Post 101 will clean the cemetery on May 15 at 8 am. Everyone is invited to assist.
The American Legion supports the Fisher House Foundation that builds comfort homes where veteran’s families can stay free while a loved one is in the hospital. The homes comprise 16 suites with a common kitchen, dining room, sitting room, and living room. A Fisher Home is planned at the Dorn VA within walking distance of the hospital. To donate go to fisherhousecolumbiasc.org or mail Fisher House of Columbia, PO Box 290185, Columbia, SC .29229.
