S.C. HIGH SCHOOL LEAGUE SPORTS RETURNS

Lexington Districts 1 and 3 opened its facilities for student-athletes this past Monday. Fall sports (football, volleyball) were allowed to resume workouts after a 3-month hiatus following restrictions placed by the governor’s office due to the pandemic. Each of the districts were in compliance with S.C. High School League Phase 1 restrictions for returning to sports which included - Maintaining minimum physical distancing of 6 feet between participants at all times, daily health and temperature screening of athletes, coaches and staff, face covering when not actively participating in sports and no lockerroom usage.

LEXINGTON

Lexington High School players take part in leg exercises during their 1st summer practice this past Monday at Lexington High School. According to head coach and athletics director Perry Woolbright, an estimated 120 junior varsity and varsity players reported and successfully compiled with the Phase 1 regulations set by the South Carolina High School League.
