The Lexington County Sheriff’s Foundation plans its 2nd annual sporting clays tournament Friday, Nov. 8.
The event at the Palmetto State Armory Shooting Facility in Swansea is open to the public. Cash prizes go to the top 3 teams and best individual shooter.
The foundation is a nonprofit that raises funds for needed items and equipment for the Sheriff’s Department that are not paid for by county taxpayers.
“Events like this, the Jailbreak Escape and our annual awards banquet are ways the public can help the Sheriff’s department,” said Foundation Chairman Bin Wilcenski.
The tournament will start at 9:30 am with breakfast for participants and shooting at 10 am followed by lunch.
Sheriff Jay Koon will shoot with all participants.
