For the 14th time in school history and 4th time in the past 5 years in Class 5A, the Lexington High School girls’ golf team claimed the SC High School League championship. Tuesday afternoon at the Country Club of Lexington, the Lady Wildcats set a state record by shooting 2-over-par 578 to dethrone Blythewood. Molly Hardwick had a 2-day score of 137, 1 shy of the state record, to win overall medalist honors. Teammates Isabella Rawl finished 2nd, defending state champion Karlee Vardes was 6th and Emily Beiers placed 10th to earn All-State. Chapin finished 7th and River Bluff 15th.
